Gov: Leaders Are Biggest Obstacle In Getting Budget Passed
Prior to today’s leaders meeting, Gov. David Paterson once again placed the blame on legislative leaders for failing to close the the $9.2 billion state budget gap and reach a deal on the 2010-2011 spending plan.
When asked by Newsday’s James T. Madore what the biggest stumbling block is preventing negotiations from moving forward, the governor replied: “The leaders.”
