The drip, drip, drip of county chair endorsements continues for the Levy campaign. Today, they picked up Sullivan County and their .47% of the weighted vote.

By Jimmy Vielkind’s ongoing count, Levy has roughly 35%, and Lazio still has 51.5%. But, as we all know, things could change at the convention.

ANOTHER ONE FOR THE LEVY COLUMN: SULLIVAN G.O.P. CHAIRMAN ENDORSES LEVY FOR GOVERNOR

Momentum Continues with 4th Endorsement in Past Week – 12 of last 13 County Endorsements for Levy

Hauppauge – Republican candidate for Governor Steve Levy today announced another endorsement for his candidacy, this one from the Sullivan County Republican Chairman Richard Coombe.  The campaign noted that of the last 13 endorsements from county Republican leaders, 12 went for Levy.

Mr. Coombe said, “I’ve had lengthy discussions with both candidates and feel that Steve Levy is in the better position to win in November and has the best ideas to fix New York.  Now that Andrew Cuomo has announced his candidacy, it is important that we recognize the need to field an experienced, well-funded candidate.  Additionally, the next Governor is going to need to take on the special interests and win, and Steve has administrative experience doing that.”

Mr. Levy said, “This is more great news as we head toward the convention.  I thank Chairman Coombe for his support and trust in my campaign and am pleased that he shares my vision for the future of New York.  His support is another big step forward for my campaign.”
