BTW, not a single journalist seems to understand that the Mohawk River ISN’T really the Erie Canal — except by declaration of the idiots in the state legislature presumably for tourism purposes. Jeezus. I didn’t grow up in NYS and even I know the difference.

True. That was a piece of the canal. And now they want to remodel Erie Blvd. because it’s ugly…and too wide IMHO.
