The thing is PI – we can cross that bridge when we come to it, and no, the staff wouldn’t be “first lady” because they wouldn’t be hostess – they’d be staff. Baldridge is wrong in that a woman other than a wife can act as first lady – that’s all I’m saying.

That being said, I imagine Lee will stay in Westchester as her show is taped in NY.
Besides our Liz is already Queen of the teleprompter in Albany. There’s only room for one.
Sandra is gracious and lovely and all that – but she’s no Liz Benjamin.

The ‘stand in’ first ladies were relatives — they weren’t sleeping with the governor or president.

So if the first lady is a hostess role — then can the house staff be referred to as the first ladies?

I don’t see why they have to stick it in our face. As I said before… if they break up — and he dates another woman would NY have a new first lady? I wonder how many first ladies Cuomo will have while Governor.

IMO it’s in poor taste. I am not going to worry about this — however I will think less of Cuomo if Lee is referred to as the first lady. She is his girlfriend — not NY’s first lady. If she’s not proud being his girlfriend and needs a title — well… I try not to publicly criticize women

James Buchanan was one of the worst Presidents ever and hastened the Civil War. Can anyone name one single accomplishment of his Administration?
