Gubernatorial Ballot Results Are In (Updated)
Results have just been announced. As expected, Rick Lazio won the party’s designation. But Steve Levy did get over the 25 percent threshold, so assuming he gets more than 50 percent in an upcoming Wilson Pakula act vote, he will be on the ballot.
Here are the final results:
Rick Lazio – 59.6%
Steve Levy – 28.12%
Myers Mermel – 4.3%
Carl Paladino – 7.8%
UPDATE:
A motion has put forth to give Levy the ability to run as a Republican, amidst loud chants of “no primary” from Lazio supporters. Roll call vote is happening now.
