This is interesting to me on a couple of levels. The content of this ad strikes me as exceedingly weak for reasons touched on by others offering comment. It adds essentially NOTHING of use to Lazio's efforts, seems to me. Strong majorities in all polls believe the state's financial position, economy, and overall direction to be negative. People don't need to be persuaded that New York has problems, nor do they need cutesy chickenlittle avertisements to convince them in digestable data morsels that the sky is falling. But why would they think Lazio as governor would matter? This doesn't help make that case one iota, seems to me. But on a different plane: am I alone in being concerned about this practice of blogs being used to disseminate political web advertising? I think Liz is a great journalist, don't get me wrong. But where's the reporting in just posting the latest 'release' of an ad, furthering it's dissemination, without any analysis, insight, expert reaction or anything?

Lazio can't beat Cuomo so it makes no sense going after him.

The ad is informative. Maybe people will start asking Cuomo questions about the information in Lazio's ad. That's about the best that can be expected from a Lazio candidacy….questions for Cuomo to answer.

Great. Fascinating. Astonishing. And how does any of this relate to Cuomo? When will the Lazio “consultants” understand that they are running against Cuomo? Until they get that through their thick skulls, all of this is completely pointless. How the he!! any of the people working on this campaign can think they're making progress is beyond me. Here's some advice, “consultants”: YOU ARE GETTING ANNIHALATED – GO AFTER YOUR OPPONENT! Freakin' amateurs.

Web ads are useful, but at this point, most of the people looking at Lazio's web ads are the few who already support him, or are political junkies who will not make their voting decisions based on web ads.

Kind of a waste, but better than nothing for a campaign coffer pauper.

Seems like everyone is using the same ad agency.
Didn't the Dems put something out last week with a similar twist related to the Laz's take from JP Morgan-Chase?
With all that cash being spent on ads, you'd think there would be a little more originality.
But maybe this is more or less what to expect from the Laz- no ideas of his own.
