Rick Lazio’s campaign just released this timely ad, taking a shot at Democratic Gubernatorial front runner Andrew Cuomo for avoiding the media while attending last night’s birthday party for Congressman Charles Rangel.

The ad criticizes Cuomo for exiting the Plaza Hotel a block away from the main entrance, where Lazio campaign members shot video of him, and asked him questions about why he attended the event.

As Liz B. mentioned yesterday, it was a politically difficult decision for the Attorney General, because he didn’t want to alienate black voters, but also doesn’t want to linked to Rangel because of the 13 ethics charges against him.
