NYT Report: Paterson Aide Charged With Assault
The New York Times just reported that Governor Paterson’s Aide David Johnson has surrendered to the Bronx District Attorney’s office and has been charged with assaulting his former girlfriend Sherr-una Booker last Halloween night.
According to the Times, Johnson surrendered this morning, and was charged with a misdemeanor.
As you might recall, the investigation by former Chief Judge Judith Kaye called on the Bronx District Attorney’s office look into charging Johnson. The DA’s office had already begun the process. That same report cleared Governor Paterson of criminal charges for his role in reaching out to Booker following the incident, but criticized him for using bad judgment.
