Voters Still Approve of Cuomo’s Performance
Governor Cuomo’s poll numbers continue to hold steady despite his unpopular budget cuts. In fact, a new Quinnipiac poll found most New Yorkers approve of the job he is doing.
56 percent of voters like what they’ve seen so far of the new governor, who has been on the job for just under two months, while only 15 percent disapprove. And his approval is actually highest among upstaters, who tend to be on the more conservative side compared to downstate dwellers. Sixty-three percent of upstate residents say they’re are solidly behind the new Governor.
Liz Benjamin was joined by Quinnipiac University Pollster Mickey Carroll Wednesday to talk about the results.
