		<description>Legalize it and tax it, IMHO. How could it be any worse than boxing or hockey? The Republicans make no sense, unless one of their big bucks contributors doesn&#039;t want MMA to compete with something the contributor controls. Follow the money. ;)</description>

		<description>Unfortunately, the bill memo is incorrect (most likely, not updated from past versions). In fact, 45 states have legalized and sanctioned mixed martial arts. Of states with athletic commissions, only 3 do not regulate MMA. Vermont, New York, and Connecticut. Connecticut is expected to have legal MMA shortly, however there is an active community and events on the Native American reservations in that state.
