Finding New Uses for Old Schools in Ulster County
The Kingston School District could be closing up to three schools thanks to budget cuts. And rather than let the buildings sit empty, Ulster County Executive Mike Hein would like to see them put to new use. He’s working with Ulster County Community College President Donald Katt and Tim Kremer of the state Schools Boards Association to turn one elementary school into a satellite campus for the college.
