Samuels Discusses Lack of Movement on Campaign Finance Reform
When Governor Cuomo ran for office back in 2010 – one of his pledges was to enact campaign finance reform. In his detailed book of policies he wrote that “our current laws amplify the voices of wealthy individuals and special interests and entrench incumbents at the public’s expense.” But in his 19 months in office he has yet to get legislation passed on this measure. And New Roosevelt Initiative founder Bill Samuels argues that he has also failed to lead.
