So here goes.  The “battle” (as you call it) in NYS is lost only because the politicians won’t let it go to a referendum.  If they had, I think the results would be very different.  As to those politicians, of the four Republicans that blatantly went against their supporters and constituents, one has already quit, two are in serious danger of losing their primaries, and the last is facing a primary challenge and a general election challenge for the first time in decades.  Not to mention Senators in Brooklyn and Queens who are hoping and praying that they can’t squeak by in their elections.  On the contrary, the battle isn’t lost, its just beginning.

As to the difference between Catholic and Christian, again, go ahead.  Change Christian back to Catholic.  Ask those Catholic women if they would agree with you.  You are wrong for the second time.

As the whole women issue is a red herring, because you are only interested in bashing Catholics and in advancing the cause of the Transexual, Lesbian and Gay agenda, let’s continue.  Episcopalians are leaving their church in droves and going to the Catholic church….  Why? Exactly because of the issues you bring up, because a lack of morality and failure to adhere to the traditional values of the church make them leave to go somewhere else.  There are Catholics leaving also for the Episcopalians, I won’t argue that point.  But it is obvious that those numbers are much, much smaller.

As to deviance, the only reason why you would argue that Catholics have “cornered” deviance, is because of your agenda.  Catholics have no more pedophilia in their Church than the Jews, Protestants, or Muslims or any other faith.  If you care so much for women and pedophilia, why aren’t you protesting against Muslims, whose scripture allows for marriage and intercourse with girls as young as 9 years old and multiple women and allows for the beating of their wives.  Or have you not read the articles on the coverup of pedophilia within the orthodox community in Brooklyn?  No, for you it is Ok to bash only Catholics because the left loves to do so.

As to something being legal or not, laws make something legal.  Laws made segregation legal also.  Just because something is legal, doesn’t mean that it is right.  It’s not illegal to have an adulterous affair.  That doesn’t mean it is proper.  It’s may not be illegal to have a parade where homosexuals undress and kiss and flaunt themselves in the village.  That doesn’t mean that its right or that I want my kids exposed to such things, or that anyone’s kids should be exposes to such things.

In sum, you can attack me personally all you want.  But anyone reading this will know who the real ass is.

Your reading comprehension sucks, too.  I said that CATHOLIC women (not CHRISTIAN women) were treated like 2nd class citizens. There are plenty of Christian denominations where woman can become a pastor and aren’t taught that birth control is a sin. In fact, the head of the Episcopal Church in the U.S. is female. Yup, a female bishop. She’s an impressive gal. It’s Catholicism which is ridiculous in oh so many ways. It’s the favored religion of MALE dolts. You are Exhibit A, Jose.

As for deviants, it’s laughable that a Catholic like yourself is calling the LGBT community deviant. The Catholic Church has CORNERED THE MARKET on deviance i.e., pedophilia. It’s illegal, too. So is covering up pedophilia…as Philadelphia Monsignor William Lynn just found out. He was handed a 3 to 6 year prison term. Bravo! More please, starting with the ultra-orthodox rabbis who have been sacrificing children for the sake of appearances. Send them all up the river or dump them in the river with cement shoes. It’s all the same to me.

Homosexuality has nothing to do with pedophilia. The former is perfectly legal in the U.S. and the latter is not. There are tons of HETEROSEXUAL pedophiles, many of whom have been raping their daughters, nieces, grandaughters, their neighbor’s daughters etc etc. etc. since the dawn of time. You could be one of them, for all we know. It’s only NOW that society is dealing with the problem of rampant pedophilia. We’ll be dealing with it for a looong time, it appears.

No one is denying what you call LGBT and what I call sexual deviants their rights.  They have all the rights they want.  It is called civil union.  Call a horse a human, he is still a horse.  The separation of church and state means that the state SHOULDN’T GET INVOLVED IN MARRAIGE, what has been defined from time immemorial as a union of a MAN AND A WOMAN!  You are the traitor to your forefathers, people who envisioned a society that started with the nuclear family as the base of all society.  The only people imposing their beliefs on others are the transexual lesbian and gay lobby, that want to be deemed “normal” and heterosexuality deemed otherwise.

As to your “nonsense” about angels, devils, etc., YOU SIR, if you are a man, are free to believe that having sexual relations with a person of your same gender is normal, or cutting off your sexual organs is normal, or taking drugs to make your body parts and hormones change is “normal”.  I don’t agree with you.

In sum, sexuality, if you want to sleep with a horse, or a dog, or a person of your same gender, should be kept in your bedroom.  People, whether normal heterosexual or abnormal deviants, don’t need to know what others do in their privacy.  THAT, amigo, is the definition of the separation of church and state.  Do what you want in your bedroom, just don’t bring it out into the open and confront me with it, and ask that I should agree with you, and assent and bow down before you and say it is OK.  IT IS NOT OK.

Lastly, going back to the women issue:  Go ask all those billions of Christian women whether they are oppressed or if they would rather join you and your facilitators and live in a society without morality.

Let’s put the LGBT issue aside for the moment and start with the subject of women and the Catholic Church. The Pope, Timothy Dolan and the rest of the OLD MEN running the church HATE women. They (and you) can try to couch that in theological bullsh*t and smiley faces, Jose, but the bottom line is that women are second class citizens under Catholicism. And YOU — as a Catholic man who shows up at church and, I assume, puts money in the collection basket — YOU are supporting the degradation of women, Jose. Yeah, YOU. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Dolan and the Pope believe that women should NOT use any form of artificial birth control. They should be brood mares with no “life” except waiting for the next “bun in the oven” to be ready to come out. Do you want to deny that’s what the church dogma is, Jose? Are YOU married?  Assuming you and your wife don’t have any reproductive health problems, do you two use birth control? How many kids do you have? Do YOU support your family and kids YOURSELF…or are you receiving some form of public assistance? That includes food stamps. The reason why I ask is because a family will NEVER climb their way out of poverty (as indicated by the receipt of assistance) if they can’t control their reproduction…and get an education. That goes for people of all colors of the rainbow.  So, YOU, Jose are promoting poverty when you finance and defend the medieval, anti-woman, poverty enhancing beliefs of the Catholic church.

Then, there’s the issue of the Catholic church’s current Spanish Inquisition of nuns. The Pope and his well-fed Catholic “management” team (i.e., Timothy Dolan) are on a Crusade to “slap into line” the few old nuns that are left. These are the women who gave Catholic kids an excellent education (back in the day) and are still out in the streets dealing with the poor EVERY SINGLE DAY. Where was Timothy Dolan when all this was going on? Studying in Rome, enjoying his grappa and kissing ass to work his way up the Catholic hierarchy. That’s how ALL management works. The more ass-kissing you do, the higher you go. Clearly, Dolan was a grade A ass kisser. He isn’t fit to wash the feet of most nuns,yet he avidly supports THEIR subjugation as women. Like other women, nuns are second class citizens in the eyes of the church. YOU are screwing the nuns over every time you drop a dime in the collection basket, Jose. Have you even been paying attention to the nun “issue,” Jose. I bet not.

Finally, we get to gays and lesbians. You say that “no one is trying to deny gays their equal rights,” but that’s more bullsh*t, Jose. Stop talking out of both sides of your mouth. You, Dolan and the Pope are ALL ABOUT denying LGBT people their rights. You have no respect for the separation of church and state and the many other excellent things which the founders of this country enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. People like you, Dolan, and the Tea Partiers SHIT ON the U.S. Constitution every day.

Fortunately, there are Americans who understand that religion is a PRIVATE matter. There are people right here in NYS who understand that YOU don’t get to impose your (antiquated and ridiculous) religious beliefs on lesbians and gays. In the eyes of the state which is a CIVIL institution, EVERYONE is to be treated equally. That includes their option to participate in the CIVIL INSTITUTION of marriage. You, Jose, can believe in nonsense like an anthropomorphic god, the holy trinity, a vengeful god, angels, devils, marriage for men and women only and all other manner of nuttiness — but keep it to yourself.

Speaking as a Catholic, I would hope that Diaz’s “friend Tim” makes the same effort when a hardworking nun in the Archdiocese is recuperating in a hospital.  Maybe not — the hierarchy of the Church seems more determined to insult and demean the good and faithful sisters with investigations and heavy-handed oversight. 

But, by all means, Your Eminence, reach out to your fellow anti-gay campaigner.  I know a lot of those nuns may disagree with you about those clear mandates from God to deny gay people equal rights. (Remind us, when you get a chance, where these mandates are.)  Many of the nuns are out on the front lines actually caring for people, regardless of sexual orientation. Getting that close to actual gay people makes it too easy to think of them as children of God, deserving the same rights as all of us.
