Republican House candidate Matt Doheny is out with his first television ad, a 32-second spot that emphasizes his business experience.

The ad, released late Monday evening, features Doheny tie less in a button-down shirt, is titled “Fighting For Jobs.”

Doheny is facing Democratic Rep. Bill Owens in a rematch from two years ago, in a redrawn North Country congressional district that is one of the most Republican areas of the state. Doheny this time around has the Conservative Party line and Doug Hoffman, viewed as a spoiler of the previous two races in the area, has endorsed him.

“I’m happy so many people in the capital region are already supporting my candidacy,” Doheny said in a statement. “While I continue to meet people, I’m using this commercial to introduce myself to voters. I’m telling them about my private sector business experience and my committment to helping grow jobs in the capital district.”

The script for the ad is after the jump.

“Hi. I’m Matt Doheny. I was raised upstate, worked my way through college, spent my career turning around troubled companies and helping small businesses.

“I came back home to be closer to my mom. Now, my wife Mary and I are starting our family right here.

“I’ll use my business experience in Congress to help get our economy moving again, to create jobs here in the capital district and to put an end to Washington’s out of control spending. I’m Matt Doheny and I approve this message. Because we need a representative who will fight for your job – not his own.”
