Privacy laws need updating & this will slowly happen. Unless harm is proven. Lawmakers want physical evidence like violence (we have seen that repeated at VA Tech, PCC & Aurora) proof of pedophilia, bullying, stalking. Profiling shouldn't be allowed.  Those laws happen in retrospect very quickly. When it's too late for the victims. Schools should not be allowed to disclose children's contact information without parental consent to strangers, perverts & marketers to name a few.No one likes what's going on in education (non privacy related) except for profit school related businesses & special interests. It's not partisan. Even if you don't care about children, where are the libertarians? I am speaking as a 11201 constituent. No more needs to be said.   Now would be a good time for Gillibrand to speak out for families.
