[The lobbying firm that employs Allison Lee Hinchey released a statement in support of her following her 60-day jail sentence.]

That's nice, but where was her husband? He should have been there. They can't have much of a marriage if he couldn't be bothered to make the trip. Then again, he IS older than dirt and she's not. Maybe their marriage has been a sham for a long time.

Romney has gone bold. It is Paul Ryan for VP
***************************
I'm a Dem., but I had reserved a decision to vote for Obama for reelection.
While Obama has had achievements in the first 2 yrs, the second half of his first term has been fairly negative.

The polarization in Wash. has created a bad climate in the country; and Obama's administrative style has not been helpful.

I have been reading Ed Klein's The Amateur, which, on the whole, is a right-wing smear against Obama.
Klein's declaring that Obama is a leftist socialist is right-wing nonsense.
Obama has governed as a centrist-liberal pragmatist.

But it is Klein's description of the Obama WH that creates concern.

Obama has had 4 chiefs-of-staff, and the uber-powerful role of Valerie and Michelle has created a chaotic WH administration.
Klein's description of Rahm Emanuel v. Michelle, as the yin and yang in the WH, is scary.

While I have been inclined to vote, and support Obama, in Nov., a second term, combined with the House GOP majority; and a weak Senate majority (or even GOP small majority) promises more polarization and stalemate.

But Romney's choice of Paul Ryan has generally provided cloture..I'll be voting for Obama.

Mitt has sold his soul to the tea party radicals; the Koch brothers;Rupert Murdoch;Fox media; the neo-cons like Bill Kristol; and the economic radicals on the WSJ editorial board.

Paul Ryan is a wonkish, boring budgeteer.
His budget blueprint eliminates Medicaid as a fed./state shared program;voucherizes the future Medicare, essentially privitizing this single-payer successful program; and privatizes Social Security.

Ryan's blueprint skews tax cuts to the wealthy and the top 5%, where wealth and income has become dangerously concentrated.

His blueprint would usher in, and legitimize, the new Guilded Age.

His blueprint provides the nails to seal the coffin on the New Deal/Great Society safety net.

Ryan's idols are Aynd Rand, the anti-Keynesian Austrian economists Von Mises and Hayek, and former Fed. chair Alan Greenspan.

Rumor has it that Ryan passed out copies of Aynd Rand's opus Atlas Atlas Shrugged....a ponderous bible estolling unrestrained greed and unfettered capitalism.

As Rand reportedly always said when she would hold her soriees in NYC, and particpants like Greenspan would expound on weightly topcis "You need to check your premises."

Well, Ryan's premises are that we are essentially on our own, and the premise underlying the New Deal/Great Society is that we are all in this together.

This is a dangerous, radical path for the US.

Shame, shame on Mitt for going down the tea party, radical, neo-con path.

What states will Paul Ryan help win?
Will the independents move to a Mitt/Ryan ticket?

Donald Trump is the only person who can replace "The Prisoner of City Hall" , Smith is the wrong choice for the GOP.

The GOP needs to have a poll done regarding Donald Trump and they could use the money they received from "The Prisoner of City Hall" to pay for it.

I am sure the results would show Trump winning.

Based on AG Schneiderman's previous support for making reparations to wrongly convicted people, the BN's accusation seems off-base.
