King For Ulrich
Rep. Peter King, one of the most prominent elected Republicans in the state, says he’s backing GOP state Senate candidate Eric Ulrich, his campaign announced this afternoon.
“Eric understands that the way to put New Yorkers back to work and grow our economy is by lowering taxes on families and small businesses and reigning in the reckless government spending that has created unsustainable deficits and threatens our competitiveness,” said King, a Long Island Republican. “His conservative principles of limited government, safe streets and a strong quality of life will make him an excellent representative in Albany and I urge all Republicans to vote for him on September 13th.”
Ulrich is clearly the favorite of the Senate Republican Campaign Committee and the GOP majority conference in Albany, both of which have contributed heavily to his effort to unseat Queens Democratic Sen. Joe Addabbo.
Ulrich faces former Giuliani administration official Juan Reyes.
The former mayor is not expected to endorse in the primary, Reyes said recently.
