Boehner Raising For Grimm, Altschuler
House Speaker John Boehner’s tour of New York’s battleground Congressional districts continues with events scheduled for Rep. Michael Grimm of Staten Island and GOP challenger Randy Altschuler in Long Island’s NY-1.
At Grimm’s Oct. 11 event, tickets run as high as $12,500 for a private roundtable and photo. For Altschuler on Oct. 10, the photo op and private event are broken up at $1,000 and $5,000 respectively.
(It’s also a bit interesting given Grimm’s many well-documented troubles with a grand jury investigation that Boehner is willing to fundraise for him).
Boehner has been crisscrossing the state shoring up incumbents and bolstering challengers’ bids as New York becomes a focal point for control of the House of Representatives.
