Sorry to lead off with a vague oxymoron, since I guess Politics is always involved, with Republicans smelling blood about a Democratic fiasco like the Shelly Silver Chronicles in Albany NY. Having said that it would be a good time for everyone to get together on this and make it as quick and painless as possible for Mr. Silver, whose track record of surviving political pitfalls will tend to make him hang on longer that the situation warrants for any rational reason given the circumstances this case presents. Spare everyone else the pain Mr. Silver and just leave, and that will impress people more than trying to hang on too long.

First, thanks. I think Nick deserves it sometimes, given how much of this blog is taken up with idiotic pronouncements from Cox.
Second, Silver is likely not going anywhere – the voters in his district will re-elect him and the members of the Assembly majority will vote again for him to be Speaker unless JCOPE or Donovan find something that was actually illegal (as upposed to unethical). That is reality – rail against it all you want. Who should be speaker in his place, huh?

Its about time somebody called out Silver and the Democrats in Albany for waging the REAL “War on Women”. They treat female staff like oranges at a produce market; then, pay them off — with TAXPAYER MONEY — when they rightfully complain.

Its no wonder that a bill to up penalties for the filthy practice of subway “grinding” — where pervs rub their junk up against the backsides of innocent women — got nowhere in the Assembly after it was introduced and passed in the Senate. The Albany Democrats were probably afraid that Vito “Gropez” and his ilk would actually have to pay a real penalty for their abuse of women.

I’m not “railing” about anything, you partisan hack. The fact that the voters will re-elect him and his craven members will vote for him to be speaker is no measure of Silver’s character. Boehner gets re-elected and voted for too. It doesn’t make him an ethical individual. Sheldon Silver has covered up yet another sex crime. He has at least two rapes and two sexual assaults committed by men who draw a paycheck from the New York State Assembly to account for. That is reality.

The Voters in the 65 AD need to “FIRE” Shelly and “HIRE” Wave Chan on election day.

It will be a very good day for the GOP from Buffalo to Montauk

I am sorry, but who has accussed Vito of sexual assault? Sexual harassment, yes. Assault? No. Perhaps I am “hack” but I don’t feel the need to invent charges unlike some.

His hand up a young women’s skirt is an assault. Not “harassment”. I didn’t “invent” it. Even Silver, Albany’s Joe Paterno, admits Lopez physically assaulted these women. I notice you don’t mention the rapes. Were they “invented” too? Or did Silver protect his predatory counsel the first time until the rapist did it again? Yep, rape and sexual assault is covered up in the New York State government by Speaker Sheldon Silver.

Please do. That line needs more voters – right now they are not that important a party.
