DCCC, Maffei Team Up On TV Against Buerkle
On the heels of yesterday’s Siena poll that showed Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle and her Democratic challenger, former Rep. Dan Maffei, in a dead heat, the Democrats are doubling down on this race.
The DCCC and Maffei released a pair of TV ads that accuse the Republican congresswoman of supporting the interests of wealthy Americans over the middle class.
The DCCC spot is the second to run in NY-24 during this election cycle. The accompanying press release notes that the Democrats’ own polling shows Maffei up six points over Buerkle.
The campaign of Maffei, who lost to Buerkle by less than 700 votes in 2010, said his ad is “backed by a significant broadcast and cable television buy,” but didn’t provide any additional details.
