Hayworth Releases Ad Calling Maloney A ‘Carpetbagger’

I moved to the Hudson Valley from NYC too. So what? Does that mean I don’t belong here? Or that my voice should not be heard? Or that I am not one of Nan’s chosen few? Nan’s Tea Party politics have no place in the NY 18th. She only represents the interests of the 1%. It is time for her to go.

According to Nan’s campaign, this campaign video was released to address the “two negative ads recently released against us”. Negative ads? The spots merely pointed out Nan’s voting record and likened her politics to the self proclaimed Tea Party activists.

However, in her response, Nan did not address one issue raised in Maloney’s spot or the PAC’s spot. It is like they’ve acknowledged the truth of the criticism by Nan’s opponents, and responded with ad hominem attacks against Maloney, rather than address the truths in Maloney’s commercials. This will be an interesting seven weeks here in the NY18th!

This isn’t about moving from New York City to the Hudson Valley. I moved from Washington State to the Hudson Valley. This is about someone who still lives in Manhattan deciding to play a game called “pick a district” and then claiming to be a resident of that district and its communities. Mr. Maloney purchased a 500 square foot cabin in affluent Cold Spring. He told Liz Benjamin a few months back that he’s “living” there. Really? A 500 square foot cabin? And then in today’s paper he now claims that he’s planning on building a larger house on that property and will be moving their with his family within 12 months. Huh? Which one is it?

He never moved to the Hudsony valley. His partner and 3 children still reside in Manhattan. A temporary lease in cold spring dosnt make you a resident……It just makes you a carpetbagger
