Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn says Gov. Andrew Cuomo is “a good friend” but declined to speculate as to whether he should run for president in 2016.

“He’s a good friend,” Quinn said laster night on the floor. “We’re working one president right now, President Barack Obama. One president at a time. This is going to be a close election and we’ve got to make sure we work grassroots democracy all over America.”

Quinn, of course, is from Obama’s home state, which no doubt requires him to stay on message as much as possible.
