Dizzy Diaz is so stupid that it boggles the mind. His daughter is getting her ass kicked because she’s a COP who committed a crime (be it a misdemeanor or whatever), not because of him. COPS should be held to a higher standard that Joe Blow!

Like a 3 year old, Dizzy thinks that the world revolves around him. Ugh.

Excellent summary by Mike Gormley of the Lopez-Silver scandal. I have a couple questions that I’d like Gormley, Odato, Hakim or anyone in the LCA with cojones to get answers to:

1) Cuomo says there have been no sexual harassment settlements on the 2nd floor. I assume that means secret or NON-secret. What about settlements for his appointees in the agencies? How would anyone verify what he says? Is this currently impossible? If so, Mr. Reform is coming up short…again.

2) Has the press asked the Comptroller to provide something as simple as a SPREADSHEET listing the AMOUNT of EACH check cut in NON-secret settlements for the last 10 years? No payees names (to sidestep privacy concerns). Just the amount of the check, date of the check and whether the payout was for the (1) Executive Chamber, (2) the agencies, (3) the Senate Majority, (4) the Assembly Majority, (5) the Senate Minority, (6) the Assembly Minority OR (7) the Judiciary (let’s get them in here, too). If DiNapoli can’t, ask him why the hell not? Fix the state’s accounting system until it can easily provide that information.

3) I was wrong. Silver owes each gal $10,000 (not $5,000) for violating the (secret) confidentiality agreement last Thursday — when his minions “leaked” a story trashing the sexual harassment victims. Proving culpability, however, is another matter.
