AFL-CIO Poll Shows Shinagawa In Striking Distance
A poll released earlier this afternoon by the AFL-CIO shows Democratic candidate Nate Shinagawa in close competition with GOP Rep. Tom Reed.
The race hasn’t really been on the radar statewide, considering how Republican the district is how and how safe Reed is perceived.
The survey showed at 49.7 percent and Shinagawa at 44.7 percent with 5.6 percent of voters undecided.
“It’s not surprising to see that Nate Shinagawa’s energy and commitment to middle class values has gained traction in the district just as it inspired union members to support his campaign. The choice for working families could not be clearer. We will build on this momentum and work as hard as ever in the final two weeks to help elect Nate Shinagawa to Congress.”
