<description>Gov. Cuomo’s Actions Must Speak Now:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo spoke a lot of nice words about transparency and cleaning up Albany, NY so we could all be proud of our elected officials. He was fight ing the general discouragement we all felt and eliciting our help in a call to action to make Albany, NY functional again in the eyes of all New Yorkers. Well the words are still terrific, but they ring hollow without his direct intervention in getting Sheldon Silver out of the Majority Leadership post.

The Gov.’s Actions must speak louder than his words ever did right now. His inaction on removing the speaker will send a loud message to the citizens of New York too. The fact is Governor Cuomo loves to work with Republicans in a bi-partisan way, and even though its Cox and the State GOP calling for Silver’s resignation the loudest, I still feel it is an across the board recognition that Mr. Silver has stayed too long, and nothing would so become the man as his leaving now.
