I decided to stay here and annoy you, Buster. Besides, my son decided he preferred Yale to Auburn (even given the far better football near my business) and my wife wants him to be within train-ride distance.

Sorry, pal. I'm as crestfallen as you are. But look at the bright side: I'll be able to cancel out your vote for at least the next four years!

When even Democrats were calling for Shelley Silver to resign for his payoff to silence workers abused by Vito "Gropez", Gillibrand -- who purports to be the champion of women's rights and open government -- was oddly and deafeningly silent.

Of course, given Daddy's lobbying business, which relies heavily on Daddy's good relation with the despicable Silencer Silver, Gillibrand chose Daddy's Business Bucks over the defense of women and disclosure of the use of taxpayer money.

She's as phony as a three-dollar bill -- an pretty face that the corrupt Albany Democrat machine and the equally vapid Senate can count on to fall in line while serving as the poster girl for their most extremist social engineers. (No original though required.)

Debating Wendy is a waste of time. She has no chance of winning and everyone has known it since day one. New York's senators have better things to do than entertain the few right-wing crackpots in New York State. Wendy will get one chance to spout her nonsense and she should be damn glad that she's got THAT. You can like it or lump it, cracksinthehead.

SSDD from you, I see. Yawn. Nobody except your (small in number) fellow crazies cares what you think. God knows nobody believe a word that comes out of your mouth.

The truth is that Gillibrand will soon be elected to full term as U.S. Senator and you'll have to swallow it it. All will be right with the world.

xo,
Buster

p.s. Yet again, I ask -- why in the hell are you still in NY? You have repeatedly threatened to move South where you've relocated your "bidness" selling blow up dolls or whatever, but you seem incapable of following through on your...promise. Do I need to buy you a Rand-McNally road atlas? If so, I will be happy to contribute one. Gas up your Mercedes and hit the road, Jack. Don't you come back no more no more.

I hate to bog you down with FACTS, Tom, but how could ANYBODY have tried to stop a settlement that was a SECRET? Enlighten us, Einstein.

Since you're not a working woman either, TOM, perhaps you should STFU when it comes to discussing the needs and desires of working women.

Last but not least, you obviously have NO respect for women as evidenced by your references to "Krissy" below. We need your opinion like we need another hole in our heads. Zip your lips, son.

Regards,
Buster

p.s. Are you the former Congressman Tom Reynolds? I sure hope not. I would be embarrassed if NY sent a childish twit like yourself to Congress.

Mike, nobody -- nobody -- doubts that there is waste in the military budget. That's not the point.

You've got potential new threats arising from "the Arab Spring", from Iran's likely gaining a nuclear weapon, from China growing more belligerent in Asia, from piracy in the Indian Ocean and from Venezuela's alliances with China and Iran. (We had a Russian Acula class submarine, possibly armed with cruise missiles capable of hitting NYC, DC and LA patrolling the Gulf of Mexico for a MONTH this Summer without even being DETECTED!)

We face a number of threats, not least because, frankly, Barack Obama may be the weakest, least competent foreign policy president in the last 50 years.

Cut the waste? ABSOLUTELY. Cut the budget in view of these growing threats? ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Our FIRST duty is to protect the security of America and American interests.

Being inept, disengaged, and mostly disregarded by your colleagues -- on BOTH sides of the aisle -- really has very little to do with Gillibrand not having a Y chromosome.

It has to do with being inept, disengaged, and disregarded. The Senate tends to judge its members based on their abilities and Gillibrand has been judged as well below par. She'll keep a seat warm; that's pretty much it.

One can garner a sense of the low regard in which Gillibrand is held on Capitol Hill from this:

Gillibrand sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee. In the right hands, that’s an extraordinarily important post and its a crucial element of home-state “pork” because it wields tremendous discretionary power on the Defense budget. Most of the senators have defense contractors or bases in their states and they zealously protect them. (BOTH Connecticut’s senators serve on the SASC, protecting Electric Boat Company in Groton and the sub base in New London; Mississippi’s Northrup Grumman shipbuilding facility has its SASC rabbi; the Texas defense industry and military bases are protected, etc.)

The relationship between the senators and the defense contractors is pretty tight, usually. Certainly, no contractor wants to get on the wrong side of a powerful SASC member.

That is, unless, of course, the senator is disengaged and disinterested and not well regarded by her colleagues.

The last week of September, the Sikorsky division of United Technologies – a HUGE defense contractor that makes, among other things, the Army and Navy’s workhorse Black Hawk helicopter -- announced the closing of its plant in Big Flats and the loss of 570 high-wage, high-skill union jobs.

SIKORSKY DIDN’T EVEN BOTHER TO TELL GILLIBRAND AHEAD OF TIME!!! SHE LEARED ABOUT IT FROM THE PRESS, LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE!!!

Three days after the announcement, Gillibrand went begging, hat-in-hand, to say “Oh, please, can we do something else with the plant?” But the decision had been made.

And the diss was clear – Sikorsky did’t care if it ticked off Gillibrand because Gillibrand has no gravitas and no respect on the Hill, aside from maybe a handful of the radicals in the LGBT Left and the NARAL gang. (Those seem to be the only issues she’s actually engaged on, anyway. If you get above the waist with Senator Gillibrand and her staff, everyone on Capitol Hill knows there’s not much interest.)

No word on whether Sikorsky sent advance word to Chuck Schumer on the closing. My guess is they probably did because pretty much everyone in Washington regards Gillibrand as a lightweight “note taker” for her more senior colleague. That, and as the Bag Lady for the cash that flows in from the NARAL, Planned Parenthood and LGBT crowd.

The sexist jackasses are out tonight. I was going to say these cowards wouldn't call a black man "boy" but they probably would. Just not to his face or they'd risk getting their a$$ beat. Go ahead you little di@ked losers - call the US Senator "little girl". She's in DC and you all are standing in line at Walgreen's to buy your Viagra.
