While I always thought that Mr. Hassig was misinformed, and possibly an attention addict. I am now convinced that I underestimated his ignorant, selfish behaviour. My little bit of research and anecdotal evidence clearly indicates that the majority of the hispanic “help”, that keep the St. Lawrence co. dairy farms chugging along, hail from Guatemala and other countries that are south of Mexico. This latest embarrassment eases my soul from the twinge of guilt that I feel as “everyone” mocks the Singing Lunatic ( who apparently could use some assistance from the “Dancing for Idiots” guide).

The only people who will work on those farms for minimum (or less) wage, are immigrants. US citizens would rather sit on their butts and collect welfare than accept farm work. So I don’t know what jobs their “stealing”?

Amen! The green part is an “politically correct” organization. So if it hurts to say it ( truth usually does and is not usually pretty) then of course the party just won’t say it.

The truth of the matter is that giving away any jobs to foreigners who are just going to remove the capital from the local community is not a way to help a area that already has an unstable and struggling economy.

As I recall the issue concerned illegal aliens being in the U.S. and NNY. That is a vital security issue having people in the country who are here leagally. There is everything right about obeying the laws of the land.
Don adds a welcome change from the button down shirts and minds that have a glib answer for anything and everything.

I think Mr. Hassig’s comments were within the consistency of his character and more accurate than the rebuttal the party rendered.

Immigrants are not included in the Constitution. They are included in today’s legislation. This is not the result of proper Governmental security, rather thirsty investment bankers.

To employ foreigners that are only going to disappear back to their native land is not only a dishonor to the local community, but its an error on the part of the politicians who support immigration workers for the mere benefit of a dollar.

Bill Owens is a lawyer. Doheny is a fat cat investment banker. Neither have any history that directly pertains to the North Country and its rich agriculture history.

While you call Mr. Hassig’s comments ” hateful”, I call your absent of logic, and in the interest of a dollar.

I would rather be hated for speaking the truth, then succumb to the lusts of a greenback dollar. Which for the record, is highly hateful.
