Gillibrand's latest ad is despicable and tone-deaf. While I agree that it was simply a "no-brainer" to ensure the safey and health of our first responders who worked on the pile, she politicizes a national obligation. Its like saying, "Hey! Look at ME!!! I recovered the remains of a Vietnam-era MIA casualty and arranged his burial at Arlington! Aren't I grand?"

The woman is not only none too bright, she's offensive and inane.

Watching the debate between Sen. Gillibrand and Wendy Long, it was apparent that Sen Gillibrand has only common sense issues to reference as major accomplishments. For example, her reference to the bill that was passed in which members of Congress would not be allowed to profit from insider information seems to be somewhat of incredible act. The fact that our elected representatives would even consider that profiting from information that they exclusively would have access to seems somewhat mind boggling that a law would be necessary.

Additionally, your add now for the 9/11 bill is just another example of how our representatives have demonstrated their total lack of responsibility to the people they represent. The first responders and all rescue and recovery personnel should have been taken care of from day one.

On that same note, what has our congress done to take care of our service men and women who subsequent to that ill fated day put their lives on hold and at risk to protect the people of not just our nation but the world against these terrorist extremists?
