Seems clear it is time to take Mario out to the dog track. For him to hijack an event meant to honor a man he stabbed in the back is absurd. For him to then hold out the "turtle island trust" as some sort of accomplishment is just plain crazy. I guess he never bothered to follow-up to see how that rare feat of diplomacy played out. For the past 30 years there has been a lawless zone of piracy, smuggling, tax evasion, and gambling in the middle of a quiet north country community, solely because Mario Cuomo did not have the stones to do what was necessary to remove a band of rogue Indians - who were not even supported by their own tribal council - from state owned land. Well, the dissidents are still at Ganiekeh, still lawless, and still a threat to the surrounding community. Instead of ending a conflict, Mario Cuomo perpetuated it, and as such he was an unqualified failure at the task Governor Carey sent him to accomplish. Cuomo may think that the Tunnel should have been named for him instead of Governor Carey. Bide your time at the dog track, Mario. When you time comes we've got a little patch of hell all picked out to bear your name - Ganienkeh.
