Democrat Dan Maffei is running for his old seat after he was defeated two years ago by Republican Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle.

Only the NRCC doesn’t seem to think of it that way in this new TV ad it’s releasing today.

The spot blasts Maffei for voting with the Democratic leadership in the House and for raising the national debt limit (which, up until recently, was kind of a standard thing Congress was supposed to being doing to avoid a financial meltdown).
