Brooks campaign manager said Slaughter is "comparing herself to Dred Scott..." when, clearly, what Slaughter said was "(Citizens United) was the worst Supreme Court decision since Dred Scott". These are two very different things, and if reporters stopped printing distortions just because they were said, we would all be better off.
