CEOs Rally For Sandy Aid
The Patnership for New York City — a consortium of wealthy business interests and companies — released a letter signed by 125 CEOs pushing Congressional leaders to approve $60.4 billion in supplemental aid for Hurricane Sandy as soon as possible.
In the letter, the CEOs write that the damage from Sandy has caused both economic and physical damage to the New York City area.
it comes as House Republicans signal that they are balking at approving the aid package as requested late last week by the Obama administration.
It has been badly shaken by Super Storm Sandy, with extraordinary economic and physical damage that must be quickly recovered or we risk deeper, permanent losses. We urge you to support the emergency supplemental budget request submitted by the President without delay.
