Sounds perfectly reasonable to me, Wesley. Then again, I’m a New Yorker, not a Missourian like yourself.

Personally, I have nothing against the second amendment. I want a gun if and when I move out to the sticks. A shotgun would be good enough for me. However, NOBODY needs a weapon capable of killing a classroom of kids in a minute or so…unless you’re in the military engaged in war. I’m perfectly happy to ban the possession of assault weapons like the nutcase used today. Then we’ll move on to the next unnecessary weapon. Let the battle against the NRA begin in earnest.

BTW, judging from your posts here, there and everywhere, you’re a man desperately searching for something to believe in. Paleoconservatism? Jeezus. Is that the best that you could come up with?

Here’s a tip, Wesley — you can gussy up bigotry and hate with fancy words, but you aren’t fooling anybody. It’s still bigotry and hate. It’s lousy writing, too.

Yes, it is. And that’s exactly what I commented on. As I just told somebody else on this blog, the NRA nuts come out of the woodwork every time a boatload of people get killed by a gun toting maniac…and attempt to defend the indefensible. Which is what you’re doing with your “cheap shot” comment. Are you denying that you dislike ANY attempt to regulate the ownership of guns?

Complex? LOL. Your original post was vague. I deciphered it. How? I got a sense of where you’re coming from by reading your copious posts on the internet. Disqus, which is used on this blog and many others, is specifically DESIGNED for people to view the history of other posters.
