Get Your Budget Wonk On
For those of you really, really into budgets, the Cuomo administration has a website for you!
The governor’s Division of Budget this morning unveiled a website that provides a window into Andrew Cuomo’s $142.6 billion spending proposal.
The website includes data on appropriations, spending and, yes oh yes, charts.
As Committee on Open Government Director Robert Freeman said a friendly aptly put it, “This is policy wonk heaven.”
For history buffs, there’s also a back-dated file section going all the way to Gov. Tom Dewey’s administration. I’ve uploaded Dewey’s budget summary message from the 1954-55 fiscal year.
