NYLCV Unveils Its Green Leaders
The New York League of Conservation Voters today is unveiling its list of 13 freshman state lawmakers who they’ve designated “emerging green leaders” for their positions on climate change and rebuilding communities in the coming decades.
The distinction is based on their support for a variety of measures backed by NYLCV and their answers to questions from the group.
The full slate of lawmakers can be found here.
These thirteen Senators and Assembly Members just took their seats in the state Legislature for the very first time. They have strong environmental credentials and concrete plans to help make our state a green leader.
Working in conjunction with the leadership in both houses and in both political parties, these up-and-upcoming leaders promise to be a significant force for clean air, safe drinking water, renewable energy and community resilience across the state.
