Rep. Tonko on Fiscal Cliff Deal and Sandy Aid Fights
It’s been an unusually busy 48 hours in our nation’s capitol. Lawmakers rang in the New Year with a hastily constructed deal to change tax rates and extend unemployment benefits. But they kicked the can down the road when it came to an agreement on spending cuts, and have failed to act on a bill providing emergency aid to victims of Superstorm Sandy. Congressman Paul Tonko discusses the ups and downs in DC.
