No contradiction. You apparently don’t understand want an independent expenditure means. Even if she wanted to say no to the independent money she couldn’t. She did not take the money — some wealthy people who happen to recognize the corrupting nature of big money in politics are spending it independent of candidates to help elect people committed to campaign finance reform. CeCe is no fraud — she is the real deal.

As far as the 46th Senate District race goes, I’m amazed that the process actually worked so well and that the outcome reflects the voters wishes with Democrat Cecilia Tkaczyk winning a Senate Seat by 19 votes.

Gee, if the Dems had accepted the election night results, Cece would have won then by 31 votes. It was those 6,000 paper ballots that tied things up.

Tell the main conference to dump Andrea Stewart Cousins for starters. She nor her predecessor were ever really qualified to run a branch of state government. Reason Klein and go left in the first place. Go ahead primary them then Valesky and Carlucci’s seats flip R as well with this 46th seat and the Gipson seat in 2014 anyway…

Um. who exactly are the RepubliCANTs going to run as their standard bearer? Seems to me Tkaczyk is going to be running with an enormously popular Democratic governor (who seems to have remembered he is a Democrat). He likely to be more popular in two years than Obama was on Election Day.

And if Skelos wasn’t a complete moron, he would have drawn a district no Democrat could have won regardless who is at the top of the ticket. See, Assemblyman, Former, Hanna, Sean.

The Democratic slate is likely going to be strong, and the coattails long enough for Tkaczyk and many others. Plus, she will be running as an incumbent, with the attendant advantages the status affords.

Yeah, it takes a real sore loser not to just roll over and accept it when votes don’t get counted. Why couldn’t the Dems have just accepted the election night results? Dems and their dirty politics. Grumble grumble.
