Deputy Comptroller Ward on Budget Assessment
It’s the battle of the Bobs.
A dispute has arisen between state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli and Gov. Andrew Cuomo over this year’s executive budget proposal.
The comptroller says the governor’s spending plan relies too heavily on borrowing and on money coming in from the federal government.
But Cuomo’s Budget Director Robert Megna disagrees, and on Wednesday questioned the methodology employed by the comptroller’s staff.
