Syracuse Mayor Miner on Lessons from Detroit
Last week the Governor of Michigan announced that he would appoint a financial manager to run the debt ridden city of Detroit – arguing that city leaders were not addressing the cities balooning deficit fast enough. Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner is well aware of the plight that Detroit is going through. She has been sounding the financial alarm in her city for a while now, and she explains what New York can learn from Michigan.
